  pam, rose has a cousin from oakland whose finishing medical school nest year and wants us to attend. as you probably already know, a number of american student are receiving medical training at havana university, free except for some nominal costs associated with housing. rose and I are planning to attend if we can safely do it within the criteria
  set forth by state department for travelers. plus I have followed cuban history since castro took over in 1959.
  appreciate if you could send me info on your friends whose traveled there. will contact them for more info. thanks so much!

  PAM, SOMEONE TOLD ME YOU HAD VISITED CUBA. I HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND OUT WHAT'S ALL INVOLVED IN CUBA TRAVEL FOR SOME YEARS. I WOULD LIKE TO VISIT BEFORE I GET TOO OLD. THE GOVERNMENT IS MOVING TOO SLOW TOWARD LIFTING THE TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS CURRENTLY IMPOSED ON TRAVEL THERE.
